By accessing or using NoteTake ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

NoteTake is a local-hosted notebook web application that allows users to create, edit, store, and manage text notes directly in their web browser. All data is stored locally on the user's device using browser localStorage technology.

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of NoteTake, you agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes.
• Not use the App to store or manage any illegal, harmful, or malicious content.
• Take responsibility for backing up your own data, as NoteTake stores data locally.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or disrupt the App's functionality.

4. Intellectual Property

The NoteTake application code, design, and user interface are protected by copyright. You may use the App for personal or commercial purposes. You may modify the source code for personal use. Redistribution of the App must retain original attribution.

5. Limitation of Liability

NoteTake is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. The developers of NoteTake shall not be held liable for:

• Any loss of data resulting from browser storage clearing, crashes, or technical issues.
• Any damages arising from the use or inability to use the App.
• Any unauthorized access to data stored on your local device.

6. Data Ownership

All notes and content created within NoteTake remain your exclusive property. Since all data is stored locally on your device, NoteTake has no access to, control over, or ownership of your content.

7. No Warranty

NoteTake is a free, open-source application. There is no guarantee of uninterrupted service, data integrity, or fitness for any particular purpose. Use the App at your own discretion.

8. Modifications to the App

The developers reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue the App at any time without prior notice. Since the App runs locally, your existing installation will continue to function unless you choose to update.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
